Passive income: what the game earns while you are not in it
Everything else in TAPCO needs a finger. This does not. Buy a generator and it earns a fixed amount every minute whether the game is open, in the background, or closed on a phone in another room.
What it earns goes into a store rather than straight into your balance, and the store has a ceiling. Understanding that ceiling is most of understanding this panel.

Three cards, and what each actually does
A generator is worth six points a minute, every level. Efficiency multiplies the whole rate by five per cent a level. Storage adds two hundred points to the ceiling a level, on top of a base two hundred.
The generator card in the game said two a minute for as long as it existed; the server has always paid six, and the card was corrected on 19 September 2026 after the two were put side by side. The way it was caught is the way everything on this site is written: the panel on a real account read 165 points a minute, and twenty generators at six, times efficiency six at five per cent, times two levels of the research lab, is 165.36. At two a minute the same account would have read 55.
The three compound rather than add, which is why efficiency is worth nothing before there are generators to multiply and a great deal once there are many. What each next level costs rises as you buy: the generator by thirty-five per cent, efficiency by forty, storage by thirty.
The ceiling, and why a night is not a night
The store holds two hundred points plus two hundred a storage level. At thirty-five levels that is 7,200 points, and at 165 points a minute it fills in forty-four minutes. Everything the generators make after that is not kept.
So storage is not a convenience, it is the whole question: a rate you cannot store is a rate you do not have. Sleeping eight hours on a full shop still hands you forty-four minutes of income, not eight hours of it.
Two things change that. Night Factory, in the premium offers, raises the floor to eight hours of your own output and collects itself when you open the game. And Double Passive Storage and Auto-Collect Passive sit in the late shop behind prestige ten. Nothing else in the game lifts it.
Collecting, and what the points count towards
Pressing Collect empties the store into your balance. Those points count into the day exactly like tapped points do, which means they move the daily missions that count points and the events that count them.
They do not move anything that counts taps. Four of the hundred achievements are about passive income specifically, and the end-game panel lists the rate as one of the loop’s six stations.
The store is capped at a day of accrual regardless of storage, so a game left closed for a week is not a week of income waiting. It is at most a day, and in practice it is whatever storage holds.
